Undoubtedly one of the best EP’s ever released, and now FINALLY available in digital format, Mark Flash wasn’t joking when he made this. Flying the flag not at half mast, but way beyond the crow’s nest with The King Of Light for Underground Resistance. This EP has Underground Resistance stamped all over it.
The first track & also the title track is hugely euphoric. Starting with those beautiful harmonic synths then bringing in the nice heavy beat before layering it with percussion. It takes you on a journey that touches sunbeams & makes your heart sing! If you don’t dance to this one or at least even smile then you’d have to be a corpse! Exceedingly funky & vigorously uplifting!
The 2nd track Dark Symphony is a blistering dance number with just the right amount of darkness. Only a genius musician can pull off making a track that sounds a little sinister, but at the same time give it an air of happiness. The strings are passionately coupled with beautiful percussion, simple beats & those all-important keyboards. I dare you not to dance to this one!
The final track Eagle Warriors has a gorgeously bittersweet feel about it. It takes you on a completely different emotional adventure. Soaring with the fabulously eerie vocal sample & keyboards, this track takes you above the clouds with the spirit of the eagle swooping through highs & lows all the way.
A masterclass in Techno, this is an EP you will always keep in your record box.
