Thatcher’s War On Acid House
She got the miners, destroyed the British manufacturing industry and condemned millions to a life on welfare… But she could NOT destroy our scene.

A great and insightful piece in Vice Magazine on the British (Maggie’s) governments laughably misguided war on Rave culture in Britain in the late eighties and early nineties. Well worth your time whether you were there or not. Some fantastic (and nostalgia inducing) photos too!!
Acieeeeed!!

UK Techno LEGEND Colin Dale is set to relaunch Abstrakt Dance Records with the somewhat awesome tagline of:
“Like a phoenix whirling up from the ashes of the legendary “Abstrakt Dance” records of the 90s, comes a supersonic rebirth of cutting edge sound.”

Infamous ‘Player’ Records – Relaunch
This June sees the relaunch of the Infamous ‘Player’ record label. The enigmatic and anonymous project began in the year 2000 and quickly established itself as a benchmark for gritty, ‘urban’ Techno with a touch of Hip Hop sensibilities, a healthy dose of Slam and a creamy head of Funk. This will be a welcome return for many, and I for one am looking forward to hear what they come up with. To help you get better acquainted with their sound ‘Player’ are offering many of their rarities as a free download on their Bandcamp page. Yes FREE!! Check out what they have to offer HERE: And watch this space for more news on the relaunch.
